Warcraft is a long-running fantasy universe created by Blizzard Entertainment, centered on the world of Azeroth and the endless conflict between the Alliance and the Horde. It began in 1994 with the real-time strategy game Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, which established the core lore of orcs invading a human kingdom. The series expanded through sequels and evolved into the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft in 2004, which became one of the most successful and influential MMOs of all time. The franchise spans strategy games, MMOs, card games, mobile titles, novels, comics, animated shorts, and a 2016 live-action film. Its rich lore features iconic races, heroes, villains, and massive world-spanning stories that have defined online gaming culture for decades.
World of Warcraft: Classic (shortened as Classic) is a new server option for World of Warcraft announced at BlizzCon 2017. The goal of Classic is to let players experience World of Warcraft as close as possible to what it was before The Burning Crusade.

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is a real-time strategy game set in the high fantasy world of Azeroth. Players control one of four factions, the Human Alliance, Orcish Horde, Night Elves, or Undead Scourge, each with unique units, structures, and hero characters that gain experience and abilities through combat. The single-player campaign follows a sequential narrative across four faction-specific chapters. Multiplayer is supported through Battle.net with ranked matchmaking. The game includes a World Editor that allows players to create custom maps and scenarios, which gave rise to influential community creations including the mod Defense of the Ancients.

Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal is an expansion pack for Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. Beyond the Dark Portal contains two 12 map campaigns; one for each side, 50 new pud's (maps) and a new tile set for the Orc home world. It also contains 5 new hero characters for each side that actively participate in several of the new single player missions. In function, they are simply super powered versions of standard units that have different sounds. There are no new standard units however, which many saw as a disappointment. The map editor also isn't updated to include any of this expansion's new features, though third party programs exist that can add these features to the editor.
